November 24, 2008

AUSTRIAN DEATH MACHINE — the side project of AS I LAY DYING singer Tim Lambesis — has scheduled the following dates:

Dec. 27 - Chain Reaction - Anaheim, California
Dec. 28 - Karma - Victorville, California
Dec. 29 - The Clubhouse - Tempe, Arizona
Dec. 30 - Jumping Turtle - San Marcos, California

AUSTRIAN DEATH MACHINE will release a Christmas single featuring a rendition of the holiday classic "Jingle Bells" along with "Get To The Choppa" and a cover of JUDAS PRIEST's "Hell Bent For Leather" on November 25.

Full Metal Jackie of Metal Edge TV recently spoke to Tim Lambesis about AUSTRIAN DEATH MACHINE project. Watch the four-minute chat below.

"Total Brutal", the debut album from AUSTRIAN DEATH MACHINE, sold 3,700 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 179 on The Billboard 200 chart.

According to Lambesis, AUSTRIAN DEATH MACHINE is "a tribute to the great Arnold [former actor and current California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger] movies. It is a band fronted by Ahhnold with music I wrote and recorded in my free time. But, most importantly, I had so much fun!"

AS I LAY DYING was honored in the "Artist Of The Year" category at this year's San Diego Music Awards. The band also performed at the 18th annual awards ceremony, which was held September 17 in the beautiful outdoor setting of Viejas' Concerts in the Park.
